By now, we’ve heard the gruesome details of Aasiya Hassan’s tragic story. This video is a khutbah delivered in California in response to her death by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. Shaykh Yusuf highlights the misconceptions within the Muslim community on domestic violence and what Allah says in the Qur’an. I think it’s imperative every Muslim, especially women, understands the rights that are given to them in Islam.
